The Penny Drop
I see stories everywhere.
They’re the kind of stories that help me make sense of the world. That is, they make the penny drop.
While I could leave them where they are, out in the world, it’s not in my training.
I’ve quite literally been trained to capture a story or an idea when I see it. Package it up, then test it in front of an audience. That’s what The Penny Drop is.
Plus, I’ve had multiple fights at airport security about the quite big and fancy microphone I keep in my handbag. So for that reason alone, I’m going to use it!
As I capture these stories, I publish them on my super short solo podcast called The Penny Drop.
The promise is:
One story, told in five minutes, with a Penny Dropping moment every time. And plenty of puns (obvs).
I talk about influence, communication, leadership, media, podcasting, crafting messages, storytelling, authenticity and pretty much anything that will be useful for leaders, experts and change makers, to make the change we need in our world. What other keywords shall I shove into that sentence?
And sometimes it’s about my dog and cows. But only sometimes.
Branded Podcasts
I love working in partnership with organisations that have an important message to share.
One of my favourite ways to make that message travel is with a well-crafted, professionally delivered and multi-award-winning (there, I said it) podcast.
Podcasts aren’t skimmed, scrolled past, or background noise. They’re chosen. People opt in. They sit in someone’s ears while they walk, drive or cook dinner. You get depth, not seconds. Attention, not interruption.
And right now, audiences are opting in like never before. Australians are the biggest podcast listeners in the world. They’re craving long-form content. They want substance. They want context. They want to hear directly from the source. But they want it given to them in a way that is easy, engaging and experiential.
This isn’t about starting a podcast because everyone else has one. It’s about creating a series that aligns people to your message and to each other.
Trust builds. Alignment Grows. Behaviour Shifts.
If you’ve been thinking about it, here are some examples of what’s possible.
